Haven Guitar Stands - Handmade wooden guitar stands from exotic and domestic hardwood veneers

Welcome to Haven Guitar Stands where you'll find handmade wooden guitar stands from highly figured domestic and exotic hardwood veneers chosen by you, the customer. Choose from over 50 domestic and exotic hardwood veneers to create a guitar stand that matches or complements your guitar. Sculptural and simple in design, our guitar stands command attention with or without a guitar.

The guitar Stands

At right, view photos of completed guitar stands (requires Flash; click here to download). Currently there are acoustic stands made with Macassar Ebony, Pommele Sapele, Figured Walnut, and Brazilian Rosewood. More completed stand photos coming soon.

The Veneers

At left, view sample images of the different veneers (requires Flash; click here to download). The name of the veneer and a brief description will appear at the top of each image. You can manually cycle through the veneers by clicking the navigation buttons below the main image. This will also prevent the veneer name and description from disappearing too quickly.

This is not an exhaustive list. If you don't see a veneer you're intested in, then send me an email (click here) to discuss what you have in mind. I've intentionally omitted any burl veneers because they are difficult, if not impossible, to work with given the tight catenary curves used in the stand.

Humidity & Your Acoustic Guitar

Maintaining the proper moisture content within the wood of your guitar is vital to your guitar's health. Without a humidity controlled room within your home, the simplest way to accomplish this is to control the relative humidty within your guitar's case and store your guitar there. NEVER USE A HAVEN GUITAR STAND OR ANY OTHER GUITAR STAND TO STORE YOUR ACOUSTIC GUITAR IF YOU DON'T HAVE A HUMIDITY CONTROLLED ROOM. A guitar stand should only be used to hold your guitar during breaks in playing. For more information on humidity click here to go to the Tech Sheets section of the Taylor Guitars' web site. Price & Ordering

The base price for a guitar stand (acoustic or electric) is $495 US dollars (shipping and applicable NY state sales tax excluded). Veneers over $4/sq. ft. will have an additional charge depending on the cost of the veneer chosen. Veneer is subject to availability. I'm happy to send out current veneer samples when requested.
